Thomas Hovious Son of Stephen Wesley HOVIOUS and Rachel BALES. Born on 7 October 1839. Married (1) in Monroe Co. on 26 August 1858, Clementine YOUNG. Married (2) in Monroe County (Indiana) on 25 February 1868, Sarah Frances HOUSTON [24 Jun 1855-31 Aug 1915].

    Thomas Hovious died on 22 January 1896. He was working at a livery stable at the time of his death. His son Clinton later indicated Thomas was "Consumptive" ie. suffered from tuberculosis.
