Johannes Hofius Son of Viricus Hofius and Maria Plücker. Born 1 May 1694, Radevormwald, Germany. Johannes Hofius was a Protestant Minister. He registered at the Duisburg seminary on 10 October 1713, and was ordained on 31 July 1721.

    He married (1) at Iserlohn, on 6 December 1722, Ernestine Charlotte HATZFELD, daughter of Valentin Friedrich Hatzfeld-Cambus and Katherina Susanne zur Megede. She died in Iserlohn on 15 September 1723.

    He married (2) at Neuenrade, on 9 July 1726, Sibylle Antoinette BERCK, born on 23 August 1704 at Neuenrade, the daughter of Theodor Heinrich Berck and Katharina Lange. Sibylle died at Elberfeld on 26 December 1791.

    Johannes Hofius died on 2 July 1754.
